Whilst it may feel terrifying asking for help as you fear judgement or rejection for it, there are lots of organisations and charities out there that can help when you’re ready to ask for support.

Samaritans

The Samaritans are a year-round confidential listening service for anyone who needs to talk. Whether you feel lonely, you’re simply having a bad day and need to vent or are in crisis, they listen without judgement and can help. You don’t have to feel so alone.

CALM

The Calm (Campaign Against Living Miserably) Zone is a charity focused on reducing the male suicide rate and specifically supporting men. They work with Government and celebrities to campaign for better awareness and support.

Shout

Shout is a 24/7 crisis text service for anyone that needs immediate support.

Andy’s Man Club

Andy’s Man Club is an informal, drop-in meeting every Monday at 7pm with locations across the country.
(we don’t currently recommend attending AMC if you are police as there is a risk of meeting offenders which helps neither parties discuss their feelings)

ManKind Initiative

The ManKind Initiative is a confidential helpline for male victims of domestic abuse and/or violence who can listen and offer support and advice whatever your circumstances.

Police Care UK is a charity for serving and veteran police officers and staff, volunteers, and their families who have suffered any physical or psychological harm as a result of policing.

This is the only peer support charity for police and staff in the UK and can help with everything from counselling to advice on financial support.
